Many different ways to save the operating system from damage due to viruses, corrupted programs (corrupted), partition problems, or problems with the operating system (blue screen) and so on. The following will discuss the criteria on how to backup the Windows operating system by using the "ghost" (version under DOS). Why are the criteria on using the DOS version, because in addition to backing up other operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows itself, etc.) if there is a problem with the operating system and can not get into the operating system as broken, dude can still restore the criteria on anniversary of DOS and it only takes a few minutes (depending on the size of the OS image). To prepare please follow the step below :

1. First, you prepare equipment (tool kit) such as a bootable cd (windows 98/hirent BootCD), ghost program under dos, partitioning program (if the hard disk is divided).
2. Second, make sure the condition of the criteria on the PC hard disk is divided Buddy (partition) into two parts (local disk C, Local disk D) as well as the operating system already installed drivers and others. 3. The next step, copies of the downloaded file "ghost.exe" D to local disk and create a folder (eg D: \ Backup Windows \ ..)
   
4. Then restart the computer ..

6. At Cd boot time  , run do not forget to enter cd windows 98 / hirren boot cd / or a similar program (bootable), or use a floppy disk if it is still there.

11. Once we get into DOS program called ghost that dude criteria on copy; D: \ Backup Windows \ ghost.exe 
    
12. The main display appears Ghost program, then press OK (enter) to further 
    
13. select Local -> Partition -> To Image as shown below and then Enter 
    
14. Press OK (enter) -> select Type: Primary (1) -> OK -> then keep the picture as shown below.
    
15. Save the backup file on Local Disk D conton; (D: \ Backup Windows \ ...) as an example; "XP-RESTORE.GHO" then press SAVE
16. Then the program will do the Compress Image Ghost, which will record all activities of all windows operating system.
    
17. Select Fast (recommended) to continue, then select Yes to to process image partition to Finish.
18. Restart Windows when done processing the image, and you will get a backup image windows.
19. It turned out easy enough, and the criteria on guaranteed buddy will not waste time install the operating system again.
